Lonestar Sailing
Lonestar Sailing is a rock band out of Buffalo, NY with Nate Campese (drums), Matt Swanekamp (guitar), and the brothers Charles (guitar & vocals) and Phil Dusel (bass). The band started as a solo project for Charles in 2014 and then after being selected to participate in the Artvoice BOOM (battle of original music) competition quickly grew to a four member band the following year.
They recently finished recording a 5 song EP titled "Facing The Wall" (recorded at the world class California Road Studios in Orchard Park, NY) which was released independently in August 2017. The album features excellent musicianship, solid songwriting and powerful vocals that articulate the dark to light song themes.
The CD Release for the "Facing The Wall" EP took place on August 24th 2017 at The 9th Ward, part of Babeville in Buffalo, NY. The band was able to draw a large crowd with 100 people in attendance, the show and EP have since received overwhelmingly positive reviews.
The Lonestar Sailing sound crosses several genres blending Guitar Driven Rock, Folk, Blues and Americana. Similar artists include Jason Isbell, The Black Keys, Pedro The Lion, Ryan Adams and Counting Crows.
